Family Partnership Meetings – Family Partnership Meetings address difficulties families face by bringing all involved parties to the table, identifying strengths and potential barriers, and then collaborating to develop an action plan. By involving birth families and community members, along with resource families, service providers, and agency staff in all placement decisions, the group works to ensure a network of support is in place for the child and the adults who care for them.
Life Skills for Incarcerated Women – Life Skills classes are offered for women at Lynchburg and Amherst Blue Ridge Regional Jails. Topics such as anger management, substance abuse, parenting, healthy relationships, domestic violence, self-esteem, respect, patience, conflict resolution and reunification with families are provided once a week to each facility along with case management for the incarcerated women as needed.
