November 27, 2025 – Thanksgiving Day
Before the big games, the big meal, the parades, and the pies, why not get in a little exercise? It’s an event the whole family will enjoy! If you’ve never participated before, we encourage you to join us this Thanksgiving and make it a family tradition!
You’ll also be giving “thanks” by helping individuals and families throughout our community! Proceeds from this race benefit the programs of HumanKind, which provide a broad range of services that foster the social, mental, and financial well-being of families and individuals. With a focus on empowering people of all backgrounds and abilities, HumanKind helps equip people to build better lives for themselves and their families. These programs serve thousands of people in Lynchburg and across Virginia each year!
In 2024, the Lynchburg Turkey Trot celebrated 36 years of running together on Thanksgiving Day. All proceeds benefit HumanKind and provide Thanksgiving meals to local families.
