How to make a donation in honor of someone

Once we’ve processed your gift, we’ll send you an acknowledgment letter that serves as your tax receipt.

How long will my donation take to process?
When you make a donation in honor of someone, it can take up to one week for your tribute notification letter to arrive in your gift recipient’s mailbox. If you’d like notification of a tribute donation to get to your recipient more quickly, sending an email is faster.
Donation processing tends to get busier at the end of the year. If you’re looking to have a physical gift letter delivered in time for the Christmas holiday, we recommend you submit your tribute gift by early in December.
Will my gift recipient see how much I donated in their honor?
No. When you make a tribute donation, the amount of the gift only appears on the acknowledgment letter/tax receipt we send directly to you. Your gift recipient receives a separate letter or confirmation that does not include the amount.
