The HumanKind Lynchburg Turkey Trot presented by Scott Insurance Ambassador Program is designed to build excitement, increase registrations, strengthen community engagement, and expand awareness of HumanKind's mission through dedicated race advocates.

Ambassadors serve as community champions who promote the race through social media, word-of-mouth marketing, workplace engagement, and community connections.

In-Person Race 

The Lynchburg Turkey Trot is a Rain or shine event!

Date: Thursday, November 26, 2026

Start Time: 8:00 am EST

Location: ‍ ‍The Start/Finish line of the Lynchburg Turkey Trot are located in front of EC Glass High School on Langhorne Road. EC Glass High School is located at 2111 Memorial Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24501

Virtual Race 

Participants can run or walk from anywhere on a date of their choosing Nov. 21 – 29. Don’t forget to use RaceJoy — our app on race day! Download the RaceJoy App to your phone for free HERE.

dOWNLOAD APP

    • Must be over the age of 18 years old

    • Register for the race by August 31

    • Participate in the race either in person or virtually

    • Keep all ambassador sneak peeks confidential until publicly released by HumanKind

    • Represent HumanKind and the race positively within the community

  • Post a minimum of:

    • 2 social media posts per month (September–November)

    • 2 stories per month

    • Race Day content

    When posting:

    • Tag HumanKind

    • Add HumanKind as a collaborator when possible

    • Use official race graphics when available

    • Refer to the race as:

    "The HumanKind Lynchburg Turkey Trot presented by Scott Insurance"

  • Share information about:

    • Registration deadlines

    • Price increases

    • Volunteer opportunities

    • Race updates

    • Fundraising messages

    • Race Day reminders

  • Suggested ways to help:

    • Encourage friends and family to register

    • Share race information at your workplace

    • Invite local organizations, clubs, and teams

    • Help spread awareness throughout the community

What We Ask

As a Turkey Trot Ambassador, you'll help us build excitement and encourage participation throughout the fall.
