Lynchburg Turkey Trot: A Heartfelt Tradition of Community and Giving

The Lynchburg Turkey Trot, proudly hosted by HumanKind and presented by Scott Insurance, was a resounding success, marking a record-breaking turnout of 3,950 participants and welcoming countless new trotters into our community tradition.

"At Scott Insurance, we are committed to enriching our community and helping with food poverty,”

Thanks to your participation, we are thrilled to announce that we were able to feed 100% of the families on our list! Your support not only made this event possible but also helps us continue serving Virginia residents throughout the year.

As you know, this event is more than a race – it's about coming together to uplift and empower those in need. By feeding families across Virginia, we are not only addressing immediate hunger but also investing in the long-term well-being of our communities.

"Love all the volunteers and their dedication to make this event happen. This was our first year running and it was a great experience from a FLAWLESS packet pick-up to an excellent race day! THANK YOU” - Brandi Jensen

From our adorable baby trotters to all of the trotter fashions that filled the streets, we celebrated a beloved local holiday tradition. Your involvement in the 2024 Lynchburg Turkey Trot has made a lasting impact, and we are deeply grateful for your continued support.

As we look ahead to the future, we are excited to build upon the success of this year's event and find new ways to expand our reach and deepen our impact. Together, we can continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Thank you again to all our participants, volunteers, sponsors, and vendors for your unwavering commitment to this cause. Your participation in the 2024 Turkey Trot has truly made a difference, and we look forward to celebrating many more years of ‘people helping people’ through our Lynchburg Turkey Trot!
