We are a one-stop resource for providers seeking parenting support, child care, preschool, after-school, and summer camp opportunities. HumanKind's Early Head Start provides support for parents and free, full-time child care for infants and toddlers in Amherst, Bedford, and Lynchburg.
Healthy Families
Our home visiting program guides and strengthens families by providing one-on-one education and support customized to each family’s needs.
Child Development Associate Course
The CDA is an internationally recognized, entry-level credential, and gives educators the qualifications they need to become directors and leaders in the Virginia child care community.

The Motherhood Collective® equips and empowers women from preconception to postpartum through free
evidence-based education and social support programming.
HumanKind is thrilled to announce the acquisition of The Motherhood Collective® effective 1/1/19. In a joint effort to increase our collective community impact this partnership will grant both organizations greater opportunities to educate, equip and empower individuals and families in Virginia and beyond.
On January 1, 2019 The Motherhood Collective® will take up residence in Dewitt Cottage on the historic Presbyterian Homes campus. Their eight educational and support programs will move “home” aside from their ICN Support Group, which will remain at Centra VBH.
