About Me
Matthew Gery is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in working with individuals and families dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, relationship and phase of life issues. Matt has experience in working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and supporting children and families in foster care. Matt also has been trained in helping individuals with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Matt utilizes strategies appropriate for all developmental ages including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Matt has over 7 years of experience working in mental health and has worked in multiple settings including inpatient psychiatry, school systems, and outpatient counseling. Matt has worked with adults of all ages and children as young as 4 years old.
Matt is married to the love of his life and the proud father of a beautiful baby girl. In his free time, Matt enjoys hiking, fishing, and all things outdoors.
