IMPORTANT UPDATE: It’s sad, but true…

The 2020 Kindness Classic 5K + Youth Run CANNOT take place as originally planned. Our race date backs right up to the Executive Order 55 by Governor Ralph Northam to abide by the stay-at-home order through June 10.  With so many unknown components to putting on this race, we have decided to hold this race in 2020 at all. We will announce a date for 2021 as soon as we are able to secure one.

We chose not to reschedule the race because there are a LOT of other races trying to do the same thing this year and we did not want to double up and have competing races — we are all in this together working to support the running community and great causes. Instead, we have chosen to ask you all to support other community races virtually, in their rescheduled dates, and save the date for our other race – the Lynchburg Turkey Trot held on Thanksgiving morning.

For anyone who has already registered for the Kindness Classic 5K – you will be contacted directly and given the opportunity for a refund, or contribute your registration as a donation in support of helping the families we are continuing to serve during the coronavirus crisis right now.

We are so grateful for all of your support. For more information on other community races please visit http://lynchburgroadrunners.org/races/ to learn the latest.
