HumanKind on the Ground – Helping Mothers
May 15
As we close out this ninth week of quarantine I thought you might want to hear a bit of good news about this work we are doing together.
As most of HumanKind’s services have transitioned to contact fee assistance, The Motherhood Collective is reaching women through virtual support groups, digital education offerings, and even creative outdoor visits. Much of the work remains the same and is around the clock – stabilizing young mothers in crisis by providing critical resources, validating their experiences, and connecting them to vital mental health support.
Christin, one of the mothers who you helped during this pandemic, just reached out to me to share her story and I wanted to share with you before the week was over. I hope you’ll enjoy seeing first hand the effects of this powerful work we are doing together!
Today, as we enter Phase One of Re-Entry we anticipate the needs of mothers will be greater than ever and remain committed to serving vulnerable moms in need. Thank you for your support and patience as we face this challenge together.
With gratitude,
Lauren Barnes
